How to apply

Apply for a place online

To apply for a place in 1st Ponteland Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers, please follow these steps:

  • complete the joining form on Online Scouts Manager (OSM)
  • you will receive a confirmation email after the form is completed
  • your child’s name is added to the waiting list. The Group Registrar will contact you when a place is available and your child is old enough to join.
  • When a place is confirmed, you will be sent a link to complete any additional details required.

Updating your details

If you create an account with Online Scout Manager you can update your details at any time. To do this:

  • go to the Online Scout Manager log on page (the link is included in your confirmation email)
  • click on ‘Create an account’ and follow the steps on the screen.

Paying subscriptions

  • Wait to be contacted by the Group Treasurer who will request payment of the registration fee and subscription for the coming term. The preferred method of payment is electronically via BACs. Payment details will be provided in the confirmation email sent by the Registrar.
  • If a parent is a taxpayer the group would welcome their support by them agreeing to GiftAid. A link will be emailed to request this.
