Scouts 10½ to 14 years

Welcome to Scouts

Scouts master new skills, go on adventures at home or abroad, and help to make a difference in their own community and beyond.

Ponteland has two Scout Troops. They meet at the Ponteland Scout Hut on Mondays or Thursdays, 7-9pm (timings are subject to alteration).

Recent Scouts activities

Our Scout troops take part in a wide range of activities throughout the term. Some examples of recent activities include litter picking in the local area, a Scout Winter camp at Hawkhirst, Kielder and a Group camp at Dilston, Corbridge.

Scouts are also involved in local events as part of the wider Scouting community, such as Party in the Park, Christmas Carol Service at St Mary’s Church and the Ponteland Remembrance Day Parade.

Each term in Scouts offers the chance to work towards one or more Badges, plus new challenges to build skills and – importantly – have fun!

We are adapting our typical Scouting programmes to ensure activities follow national guidance regarding Covid-19. The safety of our youth members and Leaders is the primary concern. More details can be obtained from Leaders or by contacting us.
